Toddler dies after being locked in car

HESPERIA - A 2-year-old boy died Sunday afternoon after being locked in a car in
the driveway of his home in searing heat.
San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies responded to an emergency call at 3:20
p.m. in the 16400 block of Olive Street.
Emergency personnel arrived after Justin Ray Morris of Hesperia was found locked
inside the car. It was not clear how long the boy had been there.
He was pronounced dead at 3:28 p.m.
The Sheriff's Department is investigating the death. According to the National
Weather Service in San Diego, the heat climbed to 98 degrees in Hesperia Sunday
afternoon.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
