Child Dies In LaVergne After Being Left In Car

LaVERGNE, Tenn. -- A child died in LaVergne Friday evening after being left in a hot car.

Police Chief Ted Boyd said that the child was left in a hot car for a substantial amount of time.

The incident occurred along Chenoweth Lane. However, authorities are not releasing any other details at this time.
